You know what I can never get enough of? Color. Vibrant bursts of crazy gorgeous hues dotting every inch of wedding space. I’m talking purples, reds, pinks, golds… you name it, I love it. And in the case of this stunning Houston soiree, it’s a blue meets teal paradise set against an elegant Petroleum Club backdrop with lush florals from SCF Evens, gorgeous images from Joshua Tyi and a whole lot of mesmerizing moments planned by Soiréebliss! Events. See them all right here.
The ceremony blended Jewish traditions, including the signing of the Ketubah, smashing of the glass with both Methodist and Jewish rites of marriage. The reception also did not disappoint with the traditional lifting of the bride and groom above the dance floor, a plethora of polka dancing and chutzpah.
The bold colors were peacock inspired and the elegantly selected flowers chosen for their simplicity to balance the boldness of peacock teal. The cityscape view added to the majesty and grandeur of this celebration. Forty-one stories above the pavement of Houston provided the wedding guests with no shortage of sights… that is, until the surprise belly dancers arrived, as a gift from the bride’s family to liven up the party. And if there’s one thing we know about belly dancers – they can get a party started! In a highly sophisticated way, of course. Did I mention there was an ice bar? With peacock feathers inside of it?
All in all, it was one of my favorite weddings to date. I thoroughly enjoyed working with Lindie, Roman and Samantha!
